Castle of Tricesimo

The castle of Tricesimo has date the first reliable records from as early as the 13th century. According to a document from the year 1253, the building appears to have been inhabited by the most noble family of Tricesimo. Towards the end of the century it will be purchased by the lords Della Torre who will make a32> made it a fiefdom subject to the Patriarchate of Aquileia. It was besieged numerous times in the years from a48> 1305 to 1310 changing hands from hand to hand until it became the property of the Counts Valentinis who undertook the restoration of the fortification, giving it the form that can still be seen today.

 

Open on the occasion of cultural events such as the The 16th edition of the ‘Concerts in the Castle’ festival, which will take placefrom 19 to 21 June, with free admission.
