29. National meeting of firefighters from the National Fire Service – ODV (ANVVF)
From 4 to 7 June, the 29th National Gathering of the National Association of Firefighters of the National Fire Service – ODV (ANVVF). The event coincides with the 50th anniversary of the 1976 earthquake, a symbolic occasion to commemorate the Fire Brigade’s commitment to the rescue operations that contributed to the birth of the modern Italian Civil Protection. The 2026 Gathering will be dedicated not only to the memory of that experience, but also to the Corps’ founding values: service, professionalism, solidarity and cohesion.
The programme comprises four days of official ceremonies, moments of reflection, public meetings and community and family events in Udine and Gemona, a town that symbolises post-earthquake recovery.
